The heart line — Hridaya Rekha in Sanskrit, the "Line of Heart" or Mensal line in the West — runs across the top of the palm, just beneath the fingers, typically starting near the Mercury (little-finger) edge and sweeping toward the Jupiter or Saturn side. Both traditions read it as the line of love, loyalty and emotional temperament.
